Summer Island Tournament, Victoria, B.C., May 31-June 1 The sixth grade team completed their season with a tournament victory in Victoria, B.C. on June 1, 2008! The team went 13-3 this spring, winning their last 12 games in a row, including their last 3 tournaments!

Oak Harbor Spring Classic, April 19-20 Tournament Champions!
Hang Time Tournament, Des Moines, February 23-24 Missing teammates due to sickness and vacations couldn’t stop the momentum of the 6th grade Thunder team as they took 2nd place in the Hang Time Tournament! One team member (Lauren Matrinez) rushed from her Orlando flight as it touched down at SeaTac to participate in the championship game on Sunday. Now that’s dedication!
Seaside Tournament, February 16-17 The 6th grade Thunder team took 4th place in the multi-state tournament. Their families enjoyed beautiful weather hanging out in Seaside and Canon Beach during the long weekend.
Mt. Si Wildcat Classic, January 19-20 Congratulations to the Eastside Thunder 6th grade girls team on reaching the championship game of the Mt. Si Wildcat Classic this past weekend. The team took second place in the tourney, going home with a nice trophy and Finalist t-shirts all-around! Go Thunder!
10th Annual Yakima Valley Invitational, January 12-13 The 6th grade Thunder Team placed 3rd in the multi-state tournament in early January. A solid performance from the team, facing competition from eastern Washington and Idaho. On Saturday afternoon, the parents were ambushed by a surprise snowball fight from the players and coaches.
WTA 2nd Annual Lake Stevens Christmas Tournament, December 28—30 Team Thunder headed into the holidays pumped and the momentum served them well! The team competed in the Washington Tournament Association Second Annual Christmas Festival in Lake Stevens and finished 5-0 as tournament champs!!! The girls celebrated their victory at Cold Stone! |
